More about me…
With over 25 years of experience working with people and horses, I've found that real healing happens when we feel truly seen, heard, and supported. I bring my love of animals and nature into my work to help clients build confidence, resilience, and emotional well-being in a way that feels natural and meaningful for them.
My Approach
I believe in a gentle, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approach to counselling, focusing on the whole person — mind, body, and spirit. Sessions are tailored to your individual needs, whether we're working in a traditional setting, in nature, or alongside horses. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can explore your concerns with kindness and self-compassion.
I'm passionate about integrating equine-assisted and nature-based therapy, using movement, mindfulness, and somatic techniques to help regulate the nervous system and support lasting change.
Working with Parents
I have a special interest in supporting parents navigating the ups and downs of raising children. As a mum of three teenagers, I combine professional expertise with real-life experience, helping parents strengthen their relationships with their kids while maintaining healthy boundaries and family expectations.
Qualifications & Professional Memberships
I hold a Bachelor of Counselling and have worked in private practice as a counsellor for over 11 years, co-founding Heads & Tails Psychology and Counselling in 2015. I have also completed specialist training with The Equine Psychotherapy Institute and EAGALA, and bring over 20 years of experience as an equestrian coach, giving me a deep appreciation for the powerful connection between humans and horses and how it can support emotional healing.
I am a registered member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA Membership No. 19372) and the Australian Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists, and I'm committed to maintaining the highest professional standards in my practice.
Workplace Support (EAP)
I provide Employee Assistance Program (EAP) counselling through Spring Health, supporting individuals all across Australia, in the workplace with convenient, quality mental health care.
